Meet the New Edge Health Team

Daniel Parker
Founder & Senior Clinician | Accredited Exercise Physiologist
Daniel Parker is the Founder and Senior Clinician at New Edge Health, bringing more than 18 years of experience as an Exercise Physiologist across hospital, community and private practice settings.
Throughout his career, Daniel has worked with people living with a wide range of chronic and complex health conditions, with particular experience in cardiovascular disease, obesity and metabolic health, diabetes, rehabilitation, falls prevention and healthy ageing. His clinical experience has included working within specialist services at Westmead Hospital, including its Heart Failure and Obesity clinics, alongside more than a decade operating New Edge Performance across Western Sydney.
Daniel founded New Edge Health with a vision to create a different kind of healthcare environment — one where clinical care, exercise and long-term health management are brought together under one roof. He believes healthcare should go beyond treating an immediate injury or condition and instead help people build the confidence, capacity and support they need to remain active and independent over the long term.
His approach is practical, individualised and focused on making exercise accessible to people who may not feel comfortable in a traditional gym environment. Daniel particularly enjoys working with people who have multiple health conditions or who need additional guidance and reassurance to return to exercise safely.
At New Edge Health, Daniel works alongside the broader allied health team while continuing to develop the clinic’s exercise, rehabilitation and chronic disease programs, including the Still Standing falls prevention program.
Outside of clinical practice, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family. He also is a keen sports fan including rugby league, basketball and formula one. Daniel also has taken up photography in the past few years, and when he gets time, he likes to take landscape photos and combine this with bush walking.

Kathleen Solis
Physiotherapist
Kathleen's path into physiotherapy began with sport and exercise science. After completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) at Western Sydney University, her interest in rehabilitation led her to a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University, where she worked with the university's AFL club providing on-field and off-field care for the men's and women's premier grade teams.
That exercise science foundation still shapes how Kathleen practices. It underpins the way she prescribes and progresses rehabilitation, and it's why she believes recovery works best when hands-on treatment and well-designed exercise are used together rather than one in place of the other.
Kathleen began her career at Liverpool Hospital across orthopedics and trauma and musculoskeletal outpatients, before moving into musculoskeletal private practice. She has a particular interest in post-operative rehabilitation, sporting injuries and work-related injuries.
She believes there is rarely a single thing driving someone's pain and aims to give every patient the understanding and tools to take an active role in their recovery — always working towards their own goals, because everyone's version of getting back to normal looks different.
Outside the clinic, Kathleen enjoys playing soccer and swimming during summer, but her favorite thing is spending time with family and friends.
